His new song Firefly was inspired by the one who got away. It took him a year to write and another 6 month to record. But the wait was worth it. He recorded it at Green Jeans Studios in Wellington, Ks under Emmy Award Winning sound engineer and musician Carter Green. He is now represented by entertainment manager Joshua Perry of Turnblood Entertainment.
A modern Country artists, that embraces the heart and soul of traditional country singers like Waylon or Hank Williams, but young enough to spark the American spirit that runs in this country’s veins.
Wayne has always been driven to music. He first picked up a guitar when he was 14 years old. He was even known to drag his guitar into the desert with him while deployed and remembers playing on rooftops in Baghdad. Music has always been in his blood, and now he’s breaking onto the music scene.
He served almost 15 years in United States Army as a 19 kilo tanker. He served as a Gunnar and a tanker commander. He was gravely injured during his first tour and spent 30 days in a hospital in Germany after being life-flighted from Iraq. Be he didn’t give up. Through hard work, determination, and iron will, he managed a full recovery and even went back to serve a second tour in Iraq.
After returning from deployment, he was stationed at Fort Riley Kansas where he became Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year for 1st Infantry Division Fort Riley in 2008.
He was medically retired in April 2009 following injuries sustained in Iraq. After being retired, wayne couldn’t just sit still. He went to college at k-state university and graduated in 2016 with a bachelors in food science and a minor In business entrepreneurship. Currently he is food safety technician at a global pet food company.
